The Mix105Hardrock christmas song is ready!

Spawned from the infamous hardrock radioshow ‘Mix105Hardrock’ comes this abomination of the all-time Christmas classic ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas Time’, originally from Band Aid. As the original song is considered a soft hippie-favoured overrated underachieved money wasting annoying season killer, Mix105Hardrock contacted a bunch of local musicians and entered the studio from Cees Pols to put right what always has been wrong. And faster then you can say ‘what the fuck!?’ the recordings were finished and so was the original song.

With the help of Cees Pols, who not only owns a highly acclaimed recording studio but also had a wicked sense of humour, and Marco Brink, who never ceases to amaze us with his musical talents, the song was adapted to our hard rock standards in both musical and lyrical ways.

Marco Brink, from the well-known local rock band ‘Kouwe Makkers’ took care of the ear shredding guitar riffs while Wouter Bakker, co-host of Mix105Hardrock and member of  female fronted rock band ‘Load’ laid down a pounding basis of wall crushing drum blasts. Additional nerve wrecking guitar solo’s were added by Jan Joustra, vocalist and guitarist of Bogey & the Longhorn

Vocal contributions were made by:

Roeland Visser, vocalist of Taste of Insanity
Annalies Groen, vocalist of Load
Johan Schoterman, vocalist of Kouwe Makkers
Meine Zijlstra, bass player of Kouwe Makkers
Edwin Hagedoorn, vocalist and guitarist of Bogey & the Longhorn
Alex Hagedoorn, vocalist of Bogey & the Longhorn
Wouter Bakker, drummer of Load and host of Mix105Hardrock
Gerrit Mesker, host of Mix105Hardrock, co-organiser of the Stonehenge Festival.
Femke Steennis, co-organiser of the Stonehenge Festival.
Brigitte van Kempen, overall assistance, caretaker of drunken musicians.
Meine Zijlstra was so kind to add visual horrification’s to the song and placed the whole cornea-smashing video on
YouTube.

The song can be downloaded, for free, without registration, in high quality ‘Spinal Tap’ Dobly at this location.

Search for the word Christmas and you’ll find the download-url in a jiffy.

Yes folks, as you’ve probably expected; Christmas will never be the same. Ever.
